Hi! Thanks for visiting my personal training site. I have been personally training clients in the greater Los Angeles area for more than ten years.  My focus as a trainer is on helping to educate people about their bodies and recognize that they have strength and ability that they never though they did. My favorite moments as a trainer are when a client gets that satisfaction of doing something they previously thought the couldn't. That pride is visible on their face and the confidence it builds carries forward to everything in their life. My job is about helping people recognize their own potential.

My own "fitness journey" was a bit of trial and error. I was always athletic as a kid, and when I wasn't in my room reading I was outside playing tennis or basketball, but I never really gave much thought to specific training.  I was just having fun. We didn't have a lot of money and I was growing up in Texas, so let's just say that proper nutrition wasn't exactly the first thing on my mind, either. When I went off to college, I ended up getting a lot more into strengthtraining with weights and developing my body. I didn't really know what I was doing and just tried to emulate the things I saw in fitness magazines, which is pretty much the worst thing you can do. So, I decided to educate myself. I took some physiology and biomechanics classes, and studied for a personal training certification. From there, I started improving my own form and programming, then started helping friends, then finally, I started taking clients and earning a living doing it. The food and nutrition part of it is still sometimes a struggle for me, because I used to be able to eat whatever I want (so I did), and I am always craving those Texas comfort foods. But I spend a lot of time education myself on nutrition, as well, so I eat better and better every year and get better at making those positive choices. Ultimately, I just love being able to share the things I've learned with other people and help them live healthier, without having to obsess over every little detail.

I think people tend to be dismissive of fitness pursuits as vain or less than important for some reason. I think that's unfortunate. There are a lot of different reasons to "train" and push yourself, but overall, I think of fitness as a demonstration of self respect. We each only get one body. Why not take care of it? You don't have to be chasing a cover model physique or pro athlete performance live fit. You just have to make positive, healthy choices for yourself and your body.
